Design Draughtsman (Process Pipework / Vessels)

Salary: £30,000 – £38,400 + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare + Life Assurance

Through being awarded over £7m worth of projects for major upgrades on a number of sites, the projects team for this global supplier of process plant pipework are entering a crucial design phase and urgently need to recruit an experienced design draughtsman to ensure all project deadlines are met by the end of 2015.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced design draughtsman to join my client on a permanent basis with a leading business where you can see a defined career path within the business.

The role will involve:

* Working on vessels (2.5m x 19m tall), pumps and piping around the facility. Predominately this involves steam / liquid process.
* Initially looking through the project documentation.
* You will design and produce GA’s (General Arrangement Diagrams), P&ID’s (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams) and other Process Plant designs.
* Checking and revalidate drawings.
* Site surveys – going around the plant to check data is correct and assess where everything will go.
* Working on the process pipework itself and the layout. This will involve producing isometric drawings, manufacturing drawings and updating P&IDs. This is to get an accurate pricing for the project.
* Piping can range from 25ml up to 1000ml. All drawings done using AutoCAD 2D.

The successful design draughtsman will possess the following key skills:

* Proficient in AutoCAD.
* Experience with heavy industrial pipework – petro-chemical, chemical, oil and gas, glucose, water, nuclear, food, drink,
dairy or similar.
* Based or willing to relocate to Derbyshire.
