Totton College are offering a new and exciting job opportunity at its newly refurbished Waterside Centre in Dibden Purleiu. We are looking to recruit an articulate and organised individual to assist in the management of the “My Pod” – independence & Social Development Centre due to open in September 2013.
My-Pod will offer opportunities for people from 16 years and above with learning difficulties and or disabilities to practice and develop their social and independence skills through centre and community based activities.
The successful candidate will be required to lead activities and assist in the management of the My Pod centre team, including deputising for the manager as required. You will be expected to devise effective and imaginative session plans that reflect the needs and interests of the service users, to include differentiation for the needs of the service user and including strategies to support identified additional support needs.
It is essential that the person appointed possesses a recognised Level 3 qualification or above relating to care, education or the leadership of activities in addition to a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within the field.
The Centre will be open 5 days a week 50 weeks of the year 8.00am – 6.00pm
