Monday-Friday 8.00am-17.00pm, 40 hours per week

Our Eastleigh based client are urgently recruiting for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join their busy team. The successful applicant will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and will feel confident in undertaking independent driving work on a daily basis and liaising with customers and on site staff to arrange deliveries.

Due to the urgent nature of the role early applications are encouraged for an immediate start. Previous experience of delivery driving is an advantage and the successful applicant will be provided with a company fuel card and phone.

Key Duties:
-Undertake delivery driver duties and deliver up to 18 drops per day across the Portsmouth and West Susses areas
-Liaise with customers and on site staff to coordinate deliveries and drop goods
-Load delivery van with a mixture of heavy and light PPE Equipment and fill out paperwork corresponding to daily schedule and deliveries
-Liaise with colleagues and customers to resolve any delivery issues or order discrepancies
-Assist in the warehouse when there are no deliveries and help with warehousing duties such as goods/in goods out, stock checks, general organisation of the warehouse and health and safety procedures, picking and packing of customer orders

Person Specification:
-The successful applicant must hold a clean driving licence and be confident in driving a transit van
-Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with both customers and on site staff regarding order and delivery queries
-Strong team working skills are essential and the successful applicant will be happy assisting in the warehouse when there are no deliveries scheduled
-There will be lifting and carrying of goods within this role and as such applicants must be physically able to undertake these duties.
