Non HGV (3.5 tonne) Delivery Drivers urgently required.
Our client is seeking to expand their team of regular van delivery drivers, delivering a broad range of products throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.
As one of the largest and most successful companies in their sector, the role is highly automated, with order of delivery, delivery schedules and directions to delivery destinations all being controlled by a specialist on-vehicle satellite navigation system.
Due to the level of automation utilised, our client believes that the right attitude is more important than previous multi-drop delivery experience and therefore welcomes applications from people without prior experience but with a desire to enter this dynamic and rapidly growing industry.
The working day starts at approximately 06.30 – 07.00 on a job and finish basis, although an 11 hour day is the norm.
On arrival each day drivers are required to scan their deliveries for the system to plan their route. Drivers will then be required to make deliveries to and collections from a range of both commercial and domestic customers, obtaining proof of delivery at each location.
Applicants must have a full current driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (DD or DR conviction codes not permitted)
We currently have a limited number of full time temporary to permanent vacancies working Monday to Friday each week.
An initial training rate of £26,000 per year will apply until minimum daily delivery targets are achieved.
