Delivery Driver

Driver Hire Reading are currently seeking a van driver for one of our respected clients based in the Reading area.

As the Delivery Driver you will be responsible for providing a reliable, professional and efficient delivery service to customers, ensuring orders are delivered safely and within set time-scales. You will be driving small vans right up to 3.5 tonne long wheel base Mercedes sprinters.

You will be expected to complete between 8 – 20 drops per day.

The successful candidate will possess a valid full UK driving Licence and have at least 1 year driving experience in the UK. You must have good communication skills on the phone and have a working personal mobile phone so you can be contacted by the office.

The assignment rate for this role is £26,000 per year

Responsibilities of the van driver:

• Assess the vehicle for safety and general faults before driving in accordance with company policy.
• Navigate to several locations both domestic & commercial making general goods deliveries
• Maintaining company high standards.
Van driver candidates MUST have:

• A full UK driving licence.
• Van driving experience.
• Delivery driver experience.
• Have no more than 6 points on licence (Minor offences only, no DR10’s or IN10’s)
• PPE equipment (safety shoes and hi vis jacket)
