De Burring / Steel Factory Operative

We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a well established steel company who have been in operation for a number of years. Our client recruits candidates on a 12 week temp to perm basis and we now have a vacancy for a Deburring/General factory operative

Duties:
Deburring/fettling of steel profiles using angle grinders
Manual handling of steel profiles
Reading & marking works information onto profiles
Operating overhead cranes – (experience preferred)
Using banding equipment
Packing profiles onto pallets
Loading & unloading machine beds
Loading & unloading vehicles

The candidate must be reliable, hardworking and be willing to work overtime when required.

The candidate must also be flexible to work either days or a rotating shift pattern.
Some experience of operating overhead cranes would be desirable.

Hours of work
Days – Mon to Fri hrs per week)

Rotating shift pattern Mon to Fri hrs per week) & Mon to Thurs 14.00 – 22.30 -Fri 14.00 to 19.30 (37.5 hrs per week)
Rate of pay
£26,000 per year (if working shifts – shift rate payable after 12 weeks)
