Data Manager

Salary: £56,400 – £60,001 per year

One of Londons most commercial Housing Associations are looking for a Data Manager to come on board and help contribute to their Asset Management Strategy.

The Data Manager role will be responsible for the organisations Asset Management database which underpins stock condition information to enable business planning. 

This will entail working across departments to assist in the formulation of the Long Term Financial Planning requirements.

This role will be managing a team of 4 so this will suit a competent manager who wants to grow and develop within an organisation.

Job purpose:

1 Management of the Strategic Asset Management Property Data

To manage the core data of the Strategic Asset Management systems, ensuring data integrity, completeness and adherence to data governance to allow for accurate long-term financial planning, capital investment forecasting and identification of investment needs. Acting as the gatekeeper for APEX and ensuring the architecture is fit for purpose and is updated via SCS programmes and updates via completion of Capital works and other appropriate update routines.

2 Data quality improvement

Continually review data quality and completeness (both provided to and generated by the SAM Team) ensuring it is, as far as practicable, fit for purpose. Contribute to the introduction and development of systems to improve data handling and quality where relevant. Undertake analysis of the core data systems for reporting of KPIs data improvement and business critical forecasting purposes.

3 System Development

Assist in the design, configuration, testing and upgrades of the core AMS to ensure that it remains current and meets business demands as they evolve.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience of developing and maintaining information systems
• Strong experience of using reporting tools to convert data into management information
• Knowledge of social housing business planning and asset management
• A proven track record of effective data management within Asset Management, Property or related fields.
• Detailed understanding and substantial professional experience of asset data, legislation and best practice for housing organisations.
