An exciting Data Compliance Officer opportunity has arisen at a leading, top professional services firm where you’ll be able to use your strong understanding in this area to make an impact and be responsible for data privacy, protection, risk management, auditing and compliance. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise to shape and define what the firm needs – assessing what processes are in place, what the risks are, current levels of conformity with GDPR, and what needs to be improved. Your role will see you interface and liaise with team members at all levels in the business (as well as the MLRO, accreditors, external parties, and your team), and you’ll work closely with your own team to help validate their work with your credibility.

As a Data Compliance Officer, your exciting new role will involve:

  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with GDPR and other protection laws – handling queries; and logging, reporting ands taking action on any potential breaches
  • Management of breaches – responding to and supporting any claims or complaints
  • Overseeing subject access requests
  • Advising on any cyber-attacks
  • Taking ownership of the completion of Impact Assessments
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the Record of Processing Activities
  • Taking the lead of the firm’s accreditations (CQS, ISO9001)
  • Ongoing training to staff when needed and raising awareness of related issues and risk management

I am interested in speaking with candidates who have experience working as a Data Compliance Officer; Data Protection Officer, Analyst; or Compliance Analyst, and who have knowledge of GDPR, related regulations, ISO9001 standards, risk management and (some knowledge of) Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, the Bribery Act 2010 and the Criminal Finances Act 2017.

Salary for this Officer role is c. £48,000 to £50,000 p.a. (depending on the level of experience).
