Credit Controller

My client based in Halifax is looking for an experienced Credit Controller for a 9 month maternity contract to join their successful Finance team. This growing business was established in the 1980’s and has grown from strength to strength each year through a number of acquisitions.

As Credit Controller will report directly into the Financial Controller and will work in a team of approximately ten Credit Controllers. Ideally you will have at least 12 months experience in Debt Collection or Credit Control to be considered for this role, however you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to work in a team whilst using their own initiative
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail

Main duties of the role are; Chasing payments via telephone, email and letter, reconciliations, allocating cash and taking payments over the phone You will also provide a high level of customer services, resolving customer queries in a timely manner and other ad hoc duties when required.
