We are now accepting applications for a Cover Supervisor role to start in November 2023. This is an ideal role for any graduates who would like to experience working within a school prior to embarking on their teacher training or someone with a passion for enabling our students to unlock their potential.
You will play a vital role by ensuring that students continue to learn and make good progress on the occasions when their teacher is away from their class.
You will have:
- A good understanding of school curriculum, age related expectations of learners, teaching methods and testing/assessment arrangements
- Have GCSE Maths and English to a minimum of grade C (or equivalent)
- The natural ability to build strong relationships with staff and pupils and be committed to our academy and our vision.
Bexleyheath Academy is part of Academies Enterprise Trust, one of five schools in the London Region serving over 5000 pupils. It is proud to be a non-selective school in the grammar heartland of Kent and will stop at nothing to ensure our students achieve the very best of outcomes.
Our core mission has always been to close the educational gap between young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers. Our ambition is one where every child in an academy, no matter their background, has equal access to high quality education, giving them the same opportunities and potential to succeed.
When inspectors visited Bexleyheath Academy in July 2021, they said that the way in which pupils work in school has been “transformed”, and that “there is a positive atmosphere in classes and around the school”. Inspectors also said that the school “has completely changed” and have confirmed in their report that Bexleyheath Academy is officially a good school.
This has been achieved through high expectations, a high-quality curriculum, brilliant teaching with each teacher wanting to get better every day and, most importantly, an embedded culture that drives every decision in the school. This culture is embedded at the Academy through the core values of, ‘Be Unusually Brave, Push The Limits, Discover What’s Possible and Be Big Hearted’ leading to high aspiration, high motivation and outstanding outcomes.
If you are looking to join a group of motivated, inspirational people committed to delivering an excellent education that launches children into remarkable lives then this is the academy for you.
Should you wish to visit us in person then our doors are open to you at any time on any day. Please contact the Principal
