Courier Drivers / Parcel Delivery Drivers

Acorn is recruiting for experienced Courier / Parcel Delivery Drivers for our client in the Manchester area.

Our client offers full training and support, has very heavy workloads all year round, therefore as a self-employed contractor the sky really is the limit as you will be master of your own earnings!

The successful candidate will:

– Be passionate about succeeding.
– Possess great people and customer service skills.
– Be flexible and reliable to accommodate working 5 / 7 working pattern.
– Have a full UK / EU driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points with no DR offences in the last 4-5 years.
– Be fully eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
– Have a mobile phone and have internet access.
– Good levels of spoken / written English ability.
– Ideally have their own transit type vehicle (less than 4 years old and insured for courier work), however if you don’t vehicles can be leased at very low cost!
– As a sub-contractor you will already be or be prepared to be VAT registered.

Evidence requirements:

– You will hold a full counterpart and photo card of your licence at all times.
– Are required to pass a drugs and alcohol test.
– Pass a CRB check.
– Be able to provide solid references to cover 2 years employment history.

Salary / annual salary of: £26,000 – £31,200per year
