Cost Accountant

Salary: £36,000 per year

A manufacturing business based in Hull are currently recruiting for a Cost Accountant to join their growing team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACCA Accountant or graduate to join a business who have a brilliant reputation and lead within their industry.

Benefits include a competitive salary of up to £36,000a 37.5 hour working week and an early finish on a Friday. Transparent progression options and study support will also be available.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for:

Preparation of product costings and pricing
Preparation of periodic updates to reflect cost changes
Timely preparation of quotes for customer specific requirements
Preparation of monthly stock valuation
Approve weekly payment runs
Assist in the development of a new ERP system
Assist the Finance Manager with various finance projects and initiativesIdeally we are keen to speak with individuals who have studied or are studying their ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualification and have experience in pricing and costings of products (however this is not essential). The successful candidate will be AAT qualified as a minimum.
