Conveyancing Assistant

Our Client is one of the regions most established and successful law firms. Offering a complete range of legal services to business and private individuals providing a first class service to people and businesses throughout Essex.

Due to company expansion my client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing assistant to join their Chelmsford office.

As a conveyancing Assistant you will be required to provide administration support to partners and fee earners.

The Role

• Preparing and typing of legal documents including bills of costs and completions statements
• Working knowledge of Land Registry Direct system application forms
• Able to complete Local Authority, Chancel and other relevant pre- exchange searches
• Assist the fee earners in meeting deadlines
• Dealing with enquiries from clients
• Ensuring all documents and files are kept up to date
• Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents and mortgage lenders

The Candidate

• The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year’s residential conveyancing experience
• Excellent knowledge of case management systems, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Good time management skills with the ability to think ahead
• Effective time management and organisation skills
• Flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to work
• Hours 9am – 5.15pm
• 23 days annual leave
