Continuous Improvement Engineer

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER
A leading UK Logistics and Distribution firm are urgently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join a team rolling out a green field Lean Six Sigma programme in one of the largest, Fully Automated warehousing set-ups in Europe. The CI Engineer will be responsible for providing support in Continuous Improvement projects around Maintenance, Standard Procedures and Back Office functions.
The Role will involve:
• Designing, Developing and executing CI Strategy in conjunction with the Operational Management Team
• Supporting shop floor and back office staff in the understanding of Continuous Improvement initiatives and delivering the relevant training
• Taking responsibility for Continuous Improvement projects and ensuring that KPIs and Milestones are adhered to
• Focusing on reduction of waste, improving OEE and driving cost reductions
• Supporting the Operational Management Team in the development of best practices and a culture of Continuous Improvement
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Experience of working in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
• A proven track record of delivering CI projects
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
• Extensive knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma toolkit
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
