The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping our content strategy, managing our content team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create a content calendar which tells our story, supports our key strategic objectives, and grows our brand by building trust with our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define content objectives and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Develop and implement an integrated content strategy that aligns with our purpose, supports our key strategic objectives, and grows our brand by building trust with our customers.
- Develop and implement an editorial calendar to plan and schedule content production, ensuring a consistent and timely publishing schedule.
- Ensure all content aligns with our brand guidelines, style and messaging.
- Implement and maintain an asset library.
- Lead the content production process from ideation to publication.
- Develop and manage an editorial calendar to plan content production, ensuring deadlines are met and content is delivered on schedule.
- Contributes to the department’s central shared record of marketing plans, messaging, content and assets activity, ensuring any content activity is included and kept up to date
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation, including marketing, social media and design, to gather information and insights for content development.
- Monitor content performance through analytics and feedback and make data-driven recommendations for development.
- Work with Senior Digital Marketing Manager to optimise content for SEO.
- Leading the Content team, managing the performance and development of direct reports including identifying training and recommending ratings and salary reviews, ensuring objectives are achieved, and making sure workloads remain sustainable as we deal with shifting priorities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and content marketing best practices to continuously improve strategies and approaches.
- Stay up-to-date with the external agenda, including industry news and pension regulations and policy changes, to inform content.
Qualifications:
- Degree level (or equivalent experience)
- Significant Experience working in financial services / pensions industry.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation and style.
- Line Management Experience.
- Familiarity with digital marketing principles, SEO, and content management systems.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop engaging content.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and maintain an asset library.
- Understanding of content performance metrics and the ability to use analytics tools to make data-driven decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- A passion for storytelling and content creation, combined with a keen eye for detail.
