Content Marketer / Digital Copywriter

An ambitious and quick-growing ecommerce company in the home improvement sector is looking to strengthen its Bournemouth digital team with the addition of a Content Marketer / Digital Copywriter. Working with like-minded people in the digital department, you`ll be responsible for the copy and content of products displayed on their websites, as well as the creation of how-to guides, engaging blog content, buying guides as well as some social media activities.

As the Content Marketer / Digital Copywriter your duties will be to:

• Oversee all content creation, ensuring copy is optimised to SEO best practices to maximise traffic driven to the website;
• Use tools to analyse and identify content gaps and opportunities for growth, ensuring that everything that you create is done for a purpose;
• Use web analytics tools to monitor performance and inform content strategy, as well as working closely with others on the digital team to drive performance;
• Understand the need to report on the commercial impact of new content, and use data and analysis to continuously improve performance.

To be a successful Content Marketer / Digital Copywriter you will have the following skills and experience:

• Outstanding copywriting skills underpinned by a superb command of the English language;
• A degree in English Language, Marketing, or a relevant subject;
• Be flexible in their style of writing – as comfortable in writing a well-researched technical piece as with an informal article intended to entertain;
• Good understanding of SEO is desirable;
• Previous experience within an agency, or in a client-side eCommerce environment would be great.

In return you will receive a salary of up to £30,000per annum depending on experience.
