We’re looking for Content Designers. You’ll join our brilliant team working on DWP Place, DWP’s new Self Service and User Experience Service Management platform.

As our new Content Designer, you’ll work initially as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary DWP Place team.

DWP Place was initiated in September 2019 to deliver significant Self Service savings and User Experience benefits by transforming our existing Service Management platform, TechNow.

Your content will help transform existing support services to a user-centric model that promotes self-service, cost effectiveness and enables colleagues to get much more from their Digital Workplace.

We’re delivering new features and capabilities as such as Automation, Self-Healing and Virtual Agent. Our new in house strategic infrastructure and upgraded devices have now been successfully deployed to over 75% of the DWP user community improving both the performance and the stability of our services.

Good content can make a massive difference to user experience and behaviour as well roll out and embed these changes. You’ll write compelling, clear and pertinent content which makes sure DWP Place products are user-centric, intuitive and consistent.

We want you to create engaging content that makes user journeys and interactions as simple and quick as possible so our agents and employees can focus on delivering for citizens.

Our Content Designers put the user at the heart of everything we do. You’ll use research and data to make your decisions and to produce the best possible content.

You’ll also have loads of opportunities, on DWP Place and other projects, to develop your skills and experience as you build your career with us as part of growing Content, Design and Digital communities.

What skills, knowledge and experience do you need?

You have experience of working at pace in an agile environment and in a digital context
You have exemplary spelling and grammar, and can able to write and edit using a style guide and plain English
You take a user-centred approach to content design and can to explain design decisions and other ideas in a way that other people understand
You’re an advocate for content design, able to make the case for content design to senior stakeholders and product owners
You know how to plan user research and use data and user research to inform content design decisions
You are comfortable with constructive criticism of your work and to constructively review other people’s work
You understand how your work fits into the wider context of the team and organisationWhere you’ll work
