We’re looking for a Content Designerto become part of our brilliant team.
You will make complex information and processes easy to understand and follow
You’ll make sure the content DWP publishes meets users’ needs and the department’s goals.
You’ll work with and influence senior stakeholders while working across product, service, and departmental lines to make sure we deliver consistently for our users.
Millions of people access the site every day, to access support and information when they need it most. It’s critical we get it right. We want you to help us.
Design with People in mind.
You’ll help make sure our content products are user-focused, accessible and easy to use. We’ll make sure you have the tools and support to do that effectively.
We emphasise a positive and collaborative working environment – you’ll be taking part in open, honest discussions with user researchers, interaction designers and developers to create clear and relevant content.
We also encourage you to be an active member of our content design community, contributing to knowledge of best practices and promote user-centred content design within the department and beyond.

You’ll join us based at one of our brilliant digital hubs in Leeds or Sheffield. When you don’t need to be in the office, you’ll be able to work at home.
In return for your skills, we offer pay up to £49,776 per annum.
