Construction Manager – Nights

Our client one of the biggest main contractor / developer in the UK who specilaise in new build, refurbishments and extensions to shopping centres. They are actively recruiting for a Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of the fine finishes packages on the new development in Bradford. The projects will include all communal areas of the building such as the main welcome reception, walkways throughout the mall and food courts.

This Vacancy is on Nights -A contract until the end of the year

Description The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters are managed on all project sites under his control.

Ensure the management process relating to site labour & subcontract resources is followed in close liaison with the – Project Director to deliver the project to budget, to programme and to contract requirements.
Assist Project Manager to plan for and allocate appropriate supervisory resources as required by the site management team.
Input to the evaluation process of sub-contractors, and advising the Project Manager and the Procurement Manager accordingly.
Assist the Site Manager’s in providing site progress reports to the Project Manager.
Ensure all weekly and monthly reporting requirements are met by the site management teams and communicated to the relevant Managers.
Provide immediate and early warnings to the Project Manager on problem issues and potential major over spends as soon as they occur.
Close liaison with all other members of the Contract Team responsible for delivering the Project on time and within the budget and to the required standard as set out in the Contract.
Providing pre-construction input to meet all contractual requirements.Profile The Successful Construction Manager will possess:-

Be able to demonstrate knowledge and practical application of Site Construction activities and management of staff, operatives and subcontractors.
Experience in Managing Construction Projects up to £20m
Good Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment within Major Construction Projects
CSCS
A track record of successfully delivering Multi Million Pound Construction Projects on time & within budget
Ideally be Qualified to HNC/HND or Degree Level (Construction related).
