Our Team
Our team forms part of the wider Chief Compliance Office within the Risk function, and we’ve an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Conduct & Regulatory Senior Manager supervising the delivery of our Conduct Risk Assurance Plan. We’re looking for someone with proven experience in spearheading a team to achieve its goals, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting team members perform at their best.
What you’ll be doing
• People management activities including conducting Quarterly check ins, setting and monitoring progress against team and personal goals, developing team members to be the best version of themselves and ensuring everyone demonstrates expected behaviours in line with our Values and Purpose.
• Providing effective oversight and challenge to the team in the execution and delivery of assurance reviews. Ensuring reports are written clearly and concisely, accurately articulating the priority issues, with risks, root cause, actions and ratings reported appropriately and in line with methodology and Risk Management Framework.
• Identifying appropriate areas of focus for inclusion in the plan so that it’s concentrated on the most appropriate and higher priority risks, making changes as necessary.
• Completing the plan on time and to a high standard. Ensuring appropriate allocation of reviews and managing ongoing resources, resolving issues of stretch, and implementing any associated replanning activity.
• Building and maintaining high value and effective relationships with all stakeholders. This includes 1LoD and Internal Audit assurance teams to ensure alignment of activity and share findings and opinions and Business stakeholders to ensure issues and findings ‘land’ well, particularly where these are significant or complex.
• Identifying, developing, and implementing more effective ways of working within the team and where appropriate the wider risk function. This will include the Risk Assurance Framework and methodology to ensure it remains appropriate, fit for purpose, and reflects industry best practice.
We need you to have
• Experience of managing a team with varying levels of knowledge and expertise, managing resources and coaching/developing individuals in the delivery of high-quality outputs.
• An in-depth knowledge of conduct risk and applicable UK regulatory and industry rules and expectations.
• Experience of working in an assurance, risk, or audit environment.
• Track record of managing relationships and influencing change with a variety of senior stakeholders including those outside of direct area of influence.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
• Broad knowledge of risk management disciplines and the three lines of defence model.
• Knowledge and understanding of UK Financial Services Industry.
• University degree or qualification in a Risk, Regulatory or Compliance specialism.
