Compliance Administrator
Working for an established charity in York within a friendly and supportive environment, the Compliance Administrator will be working directly with the Risk & Compliance Manager to support them in the planning, execution and delivery of compliance, information governance, and risk management assurance work programmes.
Your assurance and compliance work will involve the following:
* Completing monthly information Governance assurance work programme for review by the Risk and Compliance Manager and the Head of Audit and Compliance
* Verifying departmental meetings are completed in accordance with a predefined assurance timetable.
* Monitoring and reporting on departments’ progress in completing action relating to Privacy Impact Assessments and data protection generally.
* Completing Assurance work around business systems, data retention and departmental risk registers.
* Assisting the Risk and Compliance Manager in responding to Subject Access Requests and Breach notifications & information governance aspects of due diligence processes around suppliers, systems and customers.
* Supporting the Head of Audit and Compliance in ensuring that the organisation complies with its key regulatory requirements as well as supporting and organising training for the organisation on key compliance topics.
* Maintaining the registers with Companies house.
* Filing annual returns and other documentation with Companies House, as requested.
The successful applicant will have experience of the following:
* Working in a governance/regulatory type environment.
* Compliance, risk and records management.
* Review and challenge roles.
* Providing advice, support and guidance related to regulatory compliance.
* Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
* Compliance qualification (ICA etc.) or equivalent experience.
* MS Office especially Excel

Holidays: 25 days holiday plus BH. (Increases with length of services after 12 months annually up to the maximum 30 days)
Hours: Full time (35 hours, Monday to Friday) flexi- time policy, parking
