Commercial Pipe Fitter

My client is a professional HVAC heating, ventilation and air conditioning install, service and maintenance company. They have been trading for well over 30 years and can boast some very well known companies as clients. Their staff turnover is low as they believe that an employee should be part of the family and not just a number, this means they keep engineers and staff for a long time.

Due to staff retirement they are recruiting for a domestic and commercial pipe fitter, you will be:-

• Working on domestic and commercial pipe work for water and gas for boilers, plant heating, radiators
• Doing pipe work repairs as well as putting new pipe work in
• Working from 15mm copper pipe up to 2.5 inch threaded pipe work
• Covering around the Birmingham, Worcestershire and Herefordshire area
• Working with local county councils, offices, schools, leisure centres

Experience needed

• Solid domestic and commercial pipe work experience for gas and water along with relevant gas certficates
• You need to be able to pass a DBS check
• Living within the Birmingham, Worcestershire or Herefordshire area
• Basic pipe work welding experience would also be needed
• Basic electrical experience would be advantageous but not essential

Salary

• 25-27k basic (39.5 hours per week)
• Travel pay
• Van, phone, specialist tools, uniform, company pension
• 20 days holiday + 8 bank Holidays (this goes up to 25 days after 3 years of service)
• Plenty of overtime but hardly any call out rota
• £40 bonus per month if you don’t have any sick days
• Annual Christmas bonus
