Commercial Delivery Van Driver

Salary: £36,000 per year

This growing engineering services, repairs and maintenance business is seeking an experienced Commercial Delivery Van Driver. With overtime and being on call – OTE around £36,000 per year

Your role will involve: –

* Picking up jobs from the company’s workshop in Worsley and dropping off to customer across the whole of the Northwest as far North as Barnsley and as far South as Stoke, but in the main it will be Greater Manchester and picking up jobs from customers to bring back to the company’s workshop.

* Driving a 3.5 tonne commercial van daily

* Jobs to pick up and drop up will be rotating equipment

* Using an FLT to load and upload the vehicle at each end

* Be on call on week a month 24/7 £30 extra for being on call

* Working late nights 24/7 one week a month and on call one weekend a month (you will earn time and a half for late evenings and weekends and time off in lieu of working weekends

* Must hold a current commercial van driving licence

* Ideally hold an FLT licence

* Must live locally to Manchester M28

* Performing labouring duties when its not busy within the workshop including paint jobs clean parts, most of the time will be driving

* Accompanying members of the engineering team to go out to jobs during out of hours work

* Ad hoc duties as needed by the business

To apply you must have: –

* Ideally have van driving experience

* Must be DBS cleared (Must be able to provide documentation)

* Full clean driving licence (no more than three points on your licence will be considered)

* Able to be on call one week a month and prepared to conduct driving work 24/7 one week a month as well as weekend work

* 8-4.30 available week a month to 24/7 – including weekends time and a half and double time for Sunday (time off in lieu of working weekends and after 2 am)

* You must live local to Manchester M28 to be able to pick up jobs from the workshop in Manchester M28 (Worsley area)

* Car owner/driver

* FLT licence (preferred but not essential)

* Must be able to start in December
