Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Assistant to join a Defence Electronics company based just outside of Northampton. The successful Commercial Assistant will come from an administration background with a solid educational grounding, and will be in charge of supporting the Commercial Director on all manner of documentation, policies and procedures.
Requirements
Good interpersonal skills to develop relationships with customers and suppliers.
Experience in contracting and an understanding of finance
Demonstrated customer service skills to ensure resolution of issues
The ability to communicate with impact at every level
A strong, confident telephone manner
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Proven attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills, including prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and managing a varied workload in a busy environment
The ability to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues
Previous administration experience
Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Outlook)
Education: A level or equivalent in appropriate subjects (ideally one from the following Business Studies, Law, Accounting & Finance)
Responsibilities
Preparation of contract documentation / administration in accordance with commercial policies and procedures.
Assistance with administration of all contracts in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Supporting the negotiation of agency agreements
Tendering and placing of contracts as appropriate
Help develop the commercial strategies to deliver global growth within the business
Provision of commercial support to all customers and suppliers as directed by the commercial director
Accurate provision of prices for all products using the internal pricing matrices as approved by the Commercial Director
Delivery and submittal of contracts in a timely manner to the Commercial Director for approval and submittal
Escalation of issues where movements may be outside of agreed parameters
Resolution and escalation of customer queries in a timely and professional manner
Accurate and timely communication with external and internal stakeholders
Monthly checking of contracted movements and chasing up of outstanding issues (NDA�s, Agency Agreements, Contracts, Quotations, Pricing etc)
