As a Commercial Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of areas covering every aspect of finance within H&MV Engineering. Assisting the Finance Manager your duties will include

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for individual group entities including KPI’s and variance analysis.
  • Preparation & review of budget against actual results and identification of trends, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Perform detailed financial analyses and commentary driving meaningful insight to department managers.
  • Preparation & Review of Cashflow forecasts against actual results and identification of trends, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the budgeting and forecasting corporate packs for specific business units.
  • Maintain a consolidated forecast model which can be updated easily each month across all entities and projects
  • Active participant in department productivity, ensuring processes are streamlined, improve speed of month end delivery with KPIs etc.
  • Provide support to relevant departments/stakeholders to monitor performance.
  • Support other internal projects and ongoing commercial initiatives.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Newly Qualified ACA with 2 years + in a Top 10 Accountancy Practice.
  • SAP Business One experience desirable but not essential.
  • Power BI experience desirable but not essential.
  • Organized and strong planning ability essential along with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills with an in-depth knowledge of MS Office – in particular advanced Excel.
  • Strong Financial analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach towards business issues.
  • Self-motivation – capable of working on own initiative as well as part of a team.
