College Services Advisor (Welcome Desk)

We are looking for a College Services Advisor (Welcome Desk) to join our team.

The role will initially be at our Welcome Desk, supporting the facilities and College Services teams, you will be responsible for supporting the aims of the entire College Services Team, by supporting the day-to-day functions of the team to ensure excellent service, student support, and the effective and efficient administration of all processes and procedures.

College Services Advisor (Welcome Desk) – What you’ll bring to the role

  • Providing excellent customer service in a student-facing environment.
  • Addressing student inquiries by offering guidance and directing them to the College Services Hub, ensuring an inclusive approach and connecting them with additional support as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate information of visitors and contractors, including a diary of expected service visits, assigning building keys and relevant access cards, as well as the delivery of Health and Safety information to contractors, visitors, and all other building occupants.
  • Working with the building security making sure access to the building is restricted, and only those who have the right to access it, do so.
  • Managing and reconciling delivery notes and items delivered to make sure all is correct, and post, making sure all is given to addresses effectively.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility of the reception area and, making sure it is kept tidy, clean, and organised.
  • Answering phone calls which come through the college main phone line and directing them to the relevant team.
  • Maintaining accurate information on the student management system.
  • Supporting pre-arrival, arrivals, registration, and welcome events and delivery of extra-curricular activities
  • Assisting in the maintenance and development of student-facing content.
  • Providing administrative support across the whole student life cycle.
  • Assisting compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Working with the College team to continuously improve the student experience.
