Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Coded Welder to join our team on a contract basis. To be a successful Welder / coded Welder, you should be focused on providing high quality service to our clients, you will have welding experience, which will include working on production armoured vehicles.

Description

As an experienced Coded Welder, you will be working on Armoured Vehicles doing heavy duty welding. This includes welding ballistic materials and great attention to detail. Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to go through security checks. Clean DBS is essential.

Requirements

  • Welding / coded Welding.
  • Coding Certificate
  • An in-depth knowledge of welding standards, welding processes, welding techniques and their requirements.
  • Carry out work within a realistic time, be this time either manufacturers, locally negotiated or a combination of both or by agreed schedules of work.
  • Must supply own PPE including helmet.

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • You will hold a recognised welding Apprenticeship to N/SVQ Level 3 as a minimum.

Benefits

  • £18.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Hours of work are Monday – Friday
  • Possible weekend overtime with premium rate
  • Ongoing contract paid limited company or via umbrella company – Outside of IR35
  • Commutable from Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Telford, Stafford, Cannock, Tamworth and Birmingham.
