Salary: £34,800 – £42,000 per year

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

With proven experience in a CNC Machine Shop environment programming and operating CNC machines with preferably Siemens controls, or Fanuc experience. You will generate CNC programmes via our CAD CAM package, or on machine producing precision components from 3D computer models and paper drawings.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Create, load, examine and modify CNC programmes.

* Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machine. Carry out machining of components.

* Identify and report drawing errors and suggest improvements.

* Carry out any other reasonable duties within capability as required by the Line Manager.

* Compliance with all departmental H&S requirements

* Compliance, where appropriate with management, & environmental, systems, such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

Qualifications and Experience

* Fully skilled time served engineer/tool maker with CNC turning experience to the highest levels.

* CNC turning on DMG Mori / Haas lathes

* Setting, Operating and Editing Programs. Live tooling experience an advantage

* Preferably Siemens, or Fanuc controls experience is essential.

* Onecnc XR5 3D experience a distinct advantage.

* Used to working to fine tolerances with various materials.

* Able to interpret engineering drawings.

* Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.

* You must have sound technical knowledge of the machine shop and its workings.

* Computer literacy, strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

* An excellent team player, ability to multi-task with a strong awareness of health & safety considerations within a machine shop environment.

* Applicants should have a good general standard of education, with excellent written and spoken English.

* Experience of working in motorsport and aerospace an advantage.

* Willing to be flexible with hours to ensure tasks are completed on time

* Neat and tidy appearance Any employee may be asked on occasion to perform additional or unrelated duties, after appropriate training has been given, if required.

Summary Terms & Conditions

* Pension – Upon joining the Company, you will be automatically enrolled, with contributions starting after successful completion of the probationary period. On completion of one years’ service, and subject to the rules, you will be invited to participate in the main pension scheme.

* Leave entitlement – 25 days per year plus statutory holidays (compulsory shutdown of three days at Christmas). * Notice period – There will be an initial three-month probationary period, during which notice will be one week on either side. On successful completion of the probationary period notice will be one month.

* Working hours – 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
