Roles and Responsibilities

My client is a very well established Joinery business located in London who is currently recruiting in order to fill the position of a experienced CNC Operator/Programmer with Joinery experience. The successful candidate will need a minimum of 3 years experience as a CNC Operator/Programmer within the Joinery industry.

Role/Position: CNC Programmer/Operator

To ensure jobs are programmed prior to commencement of when machining is required, utilising additional CNC programmer when required, resolving any issues which may delay this with relevant personnel, including requirements of additional tooling that maybe required.

Undertake machining within timescales required, ensuring desired quality is achieved, reporting to your Production Manager should this not be possible, and the reasons for this.

Ensure CNC Operators are working to required standard and timescales, instructing best practice and continually monitoring their efficiency.

To attend hand-over meetings on projects which require a large volume of CNC production.

To ensure that Department in run efficiently, which includes; maximising of space through good housekeeping, ensuring there is adequate holiday/sickness cover through sufficient training, implementation of company procedures, and adhering/enforcing health and safety policies.

To carry out general maintenance and repairs to all CNC machines, liaising with external engineers to resolve any faults. Ensuring that Production Manager is kept informed at all times.

To complete appropriately daily tick lists in respect of plant, delegating to appropriate personnel, ensuring details are recorded accurately, liaising with Production Manager any issues requiring immediate attention.

Skills/ Experience

The ideal candidate will be experienced using Alpha Cam or Homag
Ability to read drawings
Experienced in programming before tool pathing.
