We have an exciting opportunity to work with The University of Leeds as a Classroom Assistant in LS2.
This is a temporary assignment for 12 weeks.
You will need to be able to commit to the length of the assignment and work full time hours Monday – Friday (35hr/week)
Salary: £26,000per year.
There are 3 shift patterns – 8.45 – 16:30; 8:45 – 18:00 and 9:45-16:00
The University operates classrooms that allow remote students and in class students to be taught simultaneously.
The assistants will use a simple touch screen interface, to select the appropriate camera and to turn on/off the microphones.
The assistant will also be expected to read out chat messages from the remote students, so the lecturer can answer their questions.
We are looking for applicants that are familiar with Teams and Zoom. They need to have a good command of English and have reasonable social skills in order to communicate with the lecturer before and during each class.
The role entails sitting in each classroom, switching between camera feeds as appropriate and reading the chat messages. They will be required to move between classrooms to cover lunch breaks for the other assistants.
Training will be provided.
