Classic Car Bodywork Operative – Painter/Panel Beater

• Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:30
• Basic Salary circa – £36,000+ NEGOTIABLE – Dependent on Skill Set

Our Client, a family run independent Classic Car Accident Repair & Restoration Specialist are seeking a Panel Beater or Paint Sprayer to join their productive team.

This a great opportunity to join a thriving family run business that’s been established for nearly 50 years. Our Client offers a fully equipped workshop with regular updating of equipment.

Our Client has undertaken countless antique / vintage car restoration and refurbishment projects in the past, and as classic automotive restorers fully restore: bumpers, panels, hoods, dash/ trim interiors and chrome and carry out car body repairs. They undertake all repairs from a blown light bulb, full service, MOT work, up to a full bare metal restoration.

This Classic Car Paint Sprayer / Panel Beater role gives any applicant an opportunity to work with some of the most unique vehicles in the world, from Ford Capri’s to Ferrari Spiders, Austin 10’s, Alvis & Elvas. Duties of a Panel Beater/Paint Sprayer with our Client

• Replacing or repairing damaged areas to a high standard.
• Planning work and ordering parts to ensure vehicles are ready when promised.
• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
• Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
• Carrying out inspections on bodywork and frames on classic and modern vehicles to assess extent of damage
• Repairing dents, scratches and other light damage repair to bodywork
• Prepping and then priming vehicles ready for paintwork.
• You will also need to reassemble vehicle body parts and accessories.
• An advantage but not essential, is painting individual jobs and small areas such as bumper corners, wings etc.
• Use of paint mixing system

What our Client expects of their Panel Beater/Paint Sprayer

• Preferably have a background with Classic Car Repairs
• Ability and skills to prepare vehicles up to paintwork stage. This will include: masking, priming and flatting/blocking
• Light body repair work
• without supervision for your skill set
• Enthusiastic, energetic and conscientious team member.
• The ideal candidate should be hardworking, have great attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
• Willingness to work within different areas of the body shop and to be a team player is very important.
• Ability to polish the vehicle after paintwork
• Major body repair work experience
• Great knowledge and skill in paint spraying within booth oven
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• Panel Beating experience are ideal
• You must also have your own equipment and guns.
