Tanker – NON ADR, Left Hand Drive, Mon to Fri DAYS. No Nights Out

We are currently recruiting a Class 2 / LGV2 Lorry Driver to join our clients delivery team on a permanent basis. In this role you will be part of a team responsible for delivering wood pellets for fuelling biomass boilers to both commercial and domestic customers. This is day work, Mon to Fri, no nights out. Start / finish times can vary depending on deliveries.

Full Training will be provided.

Job Role and Responsibilities 

• Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery / collection of wood chip to various residential / commercial locations
• Complete daily vehicle checks and keep the truck in an acceptable and clean condition
• Work in accordance with safe working practices and legislation with regards to Driver Hours and the Working Time Directive
• Complete the required documentation paying good attention to detail.
• Liaise with the Transport and Planning Manager in relation to routes / deliveries

Requirements 

• Minimum Cat C (Class 2) vocational entitlement required – preferably held for a minimum of 1 year
• Valid CPC Card
• Valid Digi Card
• Flexible approach to start / finish times on occasions
• Excellent knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive
• Good Customer Service Skills
• Left Hand Drive Experience Preferred but not essential
• Fork Lift Licence an advantage

This is a Full Time Permanent position

Monday to Friday – Early starts and late finishes will sometimes be necessary, so flexibility is key. You will be home every night.

No call out rota just flexibility on core hours depending on customer needs & workloads. Busier in Winter / Quieter in Summer. There is an opportunity to learn other aspects of the green energy business, and work on solar panel installation in the summer if that interests you.
