Class 2 Driver

Salary: £18.72 per hour

Drake Recruitment are currently looking for class 2 drivers for our new client in Tamworth.

The position will be Monday – Friday with start times from 5am to 1pm, guaranteed 45hr week with overtime on Saturdays. Pay rate for this position is £18.72per hour

Drivers will be delivering to various locations with a refrigerated unit, picking orders for each drop and ensuring items are delivered accordingly. Must have minimum of 12 months experience in driving a class 2 vehicle and no more than 6 points on your license.

The role includes:

• Accurate picking on a 18t manual vehicle and delivery of customer orders
• Multi Drop deliveries
• Collecting monies
• Maintaining product temperatures
• Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA
• Compliance with Health and Safety (SSOW), hygiene and other related legislation

You’ll have:

• HGV2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions
• The ability to complete paperwork in an orderly fashion
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

Successful candidates will be required to bring safety shoes, high vis and proof of national insurance on site.
