Class 1 HGV Driver

Salary: £18 per hour

Merlin People are currently recruiting C+E drivers to work for one of our established clients in Corby.

Job Description

These positions will be ongoing day work Monday – Friday, with the odd rare weekend. There are no nights out and you will be completing on average two drops a day, delivering and /or collecting loads to / from construction sites. You will have your own truck, which are 70 / 69 plated Volvo’s and shifts start at a decent time of 06.00am with the average of a 10-hour day.

Pay Rates

£18ph days – PAYE

£20ph weekends – PAYE

£19.11ph days – Holiday pay included in wage

£24.11ph weekends – Holiday pay included in wage

Requirements

C+E Licence – new passes considered

DQC – (CPC)

Digi card

Minimum of 6 penalty points (no DD’s, DR’s, CD’s)

Good knowledge of WTD

Experience in securing loads using ratchet straps

Good attitude and willingness to get the job done

Have a driving assessment by Merlin People, followed by an induction into the vacancy
