Class 1 Driver (Tramper)

Direct Workforce is a successful recruitment company with links to some of the most recognised transport & logistics companies in the UK. Recruiting a full time experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper to work out of Normanton.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Our client, based in Normanton, is seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join their expanding team working for a very important customer. This is a role which involves the delivery of goods to stores and distribution centres throughout the region.
* This may involve 1 – 3 drop delivery of general haulage products depending on how the routes are planned. There may minimal manual handling so the correct technique is to be adopted. PPE is to be worn at all times.
* Drivers are expected to make their deliveries in a timely fashion. Some of the trailers are 50ft long and the locations being delivered to will require the ability to manoeuvre in tight spaces so experience of doing so would be advantageous.

Skills/licences/experience required:

* Applicants must hold a current UK LGV C+E licence and will have recent LCV C+E driving experience. Licences must have no more than 6 penalty points. They should also have a low level of infringements.
* Applicants must have previous experience working as a Class 1 driver in the UK.
* All applicants will be subject to strict application procedures, timely and accurate applications will be processed swiftly.
* Candidates must provide in depth and up to date Cv along with Copies of all relevant licences required for the role and reference information.

Additional Information:

* Depending on the shift offered, this is a role will involve 4 nights out per week. A premium will be paid for each night out.
* Drivers with DD, DR or IN codes or bans will NOT be considered. ALL drivers must have a digital tachograph card and a full and current driver CPC card.
* Please note that any person that is to be considered for a permanent role within this organisation will need to take and pass a drug & alcohol test prior to starting
