Class 1 Driver – Tramper

Direct Workforce is a successful recruitment company with links to some of the most recognised transport & logistics companies in the UK.

Our client, based in Corby, is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to join their expanding team working for a very important customer base.

This is a role involves tramping to customer RDC’s/sites. This is a tramper role which will involve up to 4 nights out a week. No manual handling although the correct PPE is to be worn at all times.

This role is with a tanker division however, no ADR required and full training given
Start times 0700/0800.

Monday – Friday:

Basic: £8.49 per hour (Monday to Friday 60 hours)
Overtime: After 12 hours = £8.84 per hour.
Salary: £31,785.6 per annum + £5 per day meal allowance

Weekend:

Basic: first 8 hours = £101.88 (£12.74 per hour)
Overtime: after 8 hours = £11.96 per hour.

Night out Pay: £22.50 per night. (Can be up to 4 a week)

Parking: Paid with receipt as proof.

Meal Allowance: £2 taxable – £3 non taxable.

20 holidays per year. Plus 8 Bank Holidays.

You should ideally be able to fully demonstrate a high level of driving competence a good knowledge of the country and a flexible “can do” approach to your work. An understanding of the law relating to drivers hours regulations and Tachograph is essential as is the ability to work with minimum supervision, DCPC hours essential.

Applicants must hold a current UK LGV C+E licence and will have recent LCV C+E driving experience. Licences must have no more than 6 penalty points. They should also have a low level of infringements.

Drivers with DD, DR or IN codes or bans will NOT be considered. ALL drivers must have a digital tachograph card and a full and current driver CPC card.
