I am looking for a proactive and positive team member to join my client’s CIS Purchase Ledger Team. This is an excellent time to join an industry leading and continually growing organisation. You will play an important part in supporting the advancement of systems and processes to drive forward further success.

I am keen to speak with candidates who have previous Purchase ledger experience with CIS exposure (ideally within the construction sector) and wo are keen to continue their career in an end to end role.

This position will be an office-based however my client is able to offer an excellent working culture and onsite facilities available (free gym, onsite bar, fee parking, etc) Hybrid working will be introduced in 2024.

Job Description:

  • End to end purchase ledger management of assigned accounts.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to effectively resolve supplier queries.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations, requesting copy invoices as required.
  • Manual Inputting of a high volume of supplier invoices via the 3-way matching process.
  • Ensuring invoices are input accurately in line with supplier payment terms.
  • Processing of high-volume Proof of Delivery notes into the finance system.
  • Ensuring that correct VAT calculations have been applied to CIS invoices.
  • Assisting with weekly and monthly BACS payment runs.
  • Scanning and filing of necessary documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous purchase ledger experience, ideally with exposure to managing multiple ledgers.
  • Previous experience of working within the construction sector, with previous exposure to CIS processes.
  • The ability to work accurately at pace to ensure suppliers are paid correctly within agreed terms.
  • Previous experience within a fast-paced larger business/ shared service centre is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent computerized systems and excel skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and duties.
  • A positive, focused, and enthusiastic approach to tasks and duties.
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • The desire to progress within a purchase ledger/ accounting career path.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
