My client Head of Science has challenged me to find an “outstanding” Chemistry Teacher to join their large and successful Science department. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Chemistry Teacher who has proven to deliver exciting, well structured lessons and have the capability to raise attainment levels from KS3 to KS5.

The role of Lead Practitioner will be to maintain a consistent level of teaching yourself and also observe and coach other members of your team to adopt your excellent practice. The role would suit an experienced Lead Practitioner or an “outstanding” Chemistry Teacher who is looking to step up.

The Secondary School is a traditional single sex Grammar School which has seen some changes in recent times. The School has fallen from “outstanding” to “requires improvement” and the introduction of a new senior leadership team has reinvigorated the school to aspire to their former greatness. The team have focussed their efforts to concentrate on the quality of teaching alongside a determination to provide an inclusive approach to school pastoral care.

The Secondary School is a Mid-Kent Selective Grammar School with approximately 1300 on roll. The school has an established Science department with modern laboratories. The School consists of a mixture of new and old buildings which reflects the schools traditional yet modern outlook.
