CDM-C / Principal Designer

First People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Principal Designer / CDM Consultant to work on a permanent basis for a leading project management and cost consultancy. Our client is seeking an experienced CDM Coordinator to work on a range of public and private sector projects, to be based in Edinburgh.

The Candidate

For this post we are seeking applications from principle designers / CDM-Coordinators who are able to demonstrate the skills gained from experience in CDM work. The successful candidate will be NEBOSH qualified, and will preferably be chartered, or approaching chartered status.

You will be a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills; who is as comfortable in a client-facing role as you are using your own initiative to solve problems.

Responsibilities of the Role

You will have experience of working within a multi-discipline consultancy, where your previous experience will have included CDM-C duties. The responsibilities of the role may include:

•Understand the requirements of CDM2015, and other H&S issues
•Make clients and designers aware of duties
•Put together pre-construction detailing regarding potential health and safety issues
•Knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
