CCTV Controller / Central Controller (Security)

Our client’s small, dedicated team of Central Controllers provide a 24 hour on-call response service to their residents and customers on matters such as anti-social behaviour and maintenance repairs. The role is wide and varying including responsibilities such as internal / external patrols, reception duties, and access control. The successful candidate will also be expected to monitor CCTV, therefore experience of monitoring CCTV footage is essential along with experience of working in the security industry.

You should be flexible in your approach, be able to multi-task and react quickly to constantly changing priorities, as the service you provide is critical to both the organisation and the individuals for whom you are the point of emergency contact.

They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic with a professional demeanour along with sound judgement and integrity. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, as face to face customer contact is an integral part of the role as is the ability to deal with resident enquiries and incidents. Therefore you must be able to deal assertively with Challenging behaviours both face to face and over the telephone

You must be computer literate as record keeping is an important part of the role, and forms the basis for work and action subsequently taken both internally and externally. Computer records must therefore be clear to be easily understood by individuals across the organisation, as well as being comprehensive and detailed enough for presentation externally. An SIA licence would also be an advantage but is not essential.
