The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000-meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cash Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Debt Collection & Risk Team, the Cash Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient cash operations, compliance, risk mitigation, and an improved customer experience within the I&C (Industrial and Commercial) pillar. The position is based in Leeds and offers a hybrid working arrangement of 2 days in the office per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigate and resolve complex enquiries
- Ensure customer and business satisfaction
- Adhere to specific procedures and GDPR compliance
- Collaborate within the organization for cash collection optimisation
- Accurately validate records and resolve system errors
- Provide stakeholder reports and highlight rejected payments
- Maintain financial accuracy and address exceptions
- Proactively identify process improvement areas
- Complete tasks on time and prevent backlogs
- Assist the team with various responsibilities during peak periods
What we need from you
- Proficient in financial accounting and banking regulations, particularly in general ledger, BACS Card Payments, and Cheque processing.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and quick adaptability to new reports and processes.
- Focus on providing customer and operational excellence while meeting regulatory requirements.
- Ability to provide helpful feedback with clear logical explanations to reduce rejections.
- Building relationships with related business areas to ensure smooth cross-functional processes.
- Proactive, with strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and KPIs.
