Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer

Salary: £26,000 per year

Are you an experienced Carpenter and Joiner with level 3 based qualifications (City and Guilds Advanced Craft in or NVQ Level 3) looking to join a growing and developing college that has just invested £11 million constructing our new construction skills dept with over £200K on C&J tooling and machinery?
*Boston Rose are always looking for qualified Site Carpenters, Bench Joiners, Wood Machinists, Timber Trades, and Wood Occupations professionals who want to teach
Timetable is teaching L2 carpentry (1 x full time group, 1 x year 1 C&J apps, 1 x year 2 Carpentry apps and one evening 17.30 to 20.30 teaching adults)
* Will consider straight from industry (with teaching qualification fully funded) but we ideally need an experienced educator.
* Micro teach will be 15 minutes on the topic of ‘Modern tooling, focusing on the latest portable power tooling and upcoming changes in the C&J industry’
* Session will be to 12 x L2 Full time Carpentry learners. Session should be interactive, showcasing innovative delivery, questioning techniques, active learning, inclusive learning.
* Evidence of planning is required. IT facilities will be available. Interview dates are not yet confirmed
