Job Description
Role: Carpenter– Insurance Reinstatement
Reports to: Contracts Manager
Location: Greater London – Mobile role

Your Purpose:
To deliver exceptional property services to all our customers and clients which align with key performance indicators and targets, ensuring high standards are consistently met together with observing all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

What you’re responsible for:
Trade Related tasks
- Working in our insurance reinstatement team within residential and commercial properties in Greater London and the Home Counties, you will be on hand to make properties safe and secure, following damage by fire, water, vehicular impact, or vandalism.
- Carrying out planned, trade-related maintenance tasks allocated by our Contract Manager
- Ordering supplier parts and managing van stock.
- Participate in out of hours call out rota as required.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to rectify faults and maintenance issues.
- Take measurements, estimate labour and identify materials required for follow on works.
- Support other trades when required.
Compliance
- Provide timely and accurate electronic worksheets/timesheets, paper-based documents, and detailed reports.
- Provide before and after photos of work completed.
- Ensure 100% adherence to client scanning on/off requirements.
- Maintain and exercise divergence with company equipment, highlighting defects to line managers when required.
- Driving in a safe and diligent manner, observing road traffic legislation and a strong awareness of parking best practice in line with company policy.
Internal and External Customer Relations
- Maintain a professional image of the company at all times, while maintaining and building effective relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
- Maintain a flow of detailed information to the Contract Manager.
- Help to resolve any client-related issues or disputes.
- Make sure work areas are left clean and tidy and carry out work in safe manner, adhering to company policy, procedures, and risk & method statements.
- Assist in monitoring practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Report any H&S issues to management.
- Undertake robust site-specific risk assessments.
Trade specific Qualifications/Skills
- Excellent carpentry training and background.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence and experience navigating Central London
- Good IT Skills and proficiency working via a PDA/mobile device.
- Excellent customer service/client-facing skills.
- Ability to problem solve and think clearly under pressure.
- Own tools.
- Clear DBS.
