Carpenter

Salary: £27.6 per hour

Leading Housing Association require 2 Carpenters on a Permanent Basis.

Leading West Midlands Based Housing Association with numerous works in the Black Country and West Midlands area.

Your new role
You will be required to undertake defect diagnosis as well as fix a wide range of repairs, including bigger jobs such as kitchen fittings. The carpentry team with this client is extremely busy so you must be able to work under pressure, and at a fast pace.

What you’ll need to succeed
* A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry
* A full UK drivers licence (no more than 6 points), able to travel efficiently around the clients housing stock
* Experience of carpentry maintenance and installation works
* Experience of working in a customer facing role, as well as the ability to deal with difficult or challenging customers
* The ability to utilise handheld technology; proficient in basic IT skills
* The ability to work to a high standard in line with an agreed timeframe and schedule
* A good understanding health and safety legislation to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues and customers
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Courageous, not afraid to speak out, challenge and suggest new ideas
