Salary: £18 – £24 per hour

Specialist Career Services Ltd are currently seeking a Careers Adviser to join an established professional team.

The role will be based from public and community based locations with you working with customers based in the B11, B12, B27, & B28 postcode areas across Birmingham & Solihull providing Careers & Employability advice services to individuals in 1-2-1 telephone, face to face or group based appointments.

Your role will involve the delivery of an Education Skills Funding Agency backed program supporting adults in certain priority groups to progress their careers, enter training and then move in to employment.

To be considered you will ideally have 12 months+ experience of working as a Careers Adviser, preferably with QCF level 6 in Advice & Guidance (To be considered you must have at least a level 4 Advice and Guidance Qualification), having focused your experience to date within a non for profit or private sector organisation with the matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services.

You will have excellent IT skills as you will be using CRM systems to plan, manage and evidence your delivery of support and outcomes to your customers. Delivery of the service involves you constantly updating these CRM systems due to the real time nature of record keeping. A good type speed is also essential due to the requirement to produce candidate appraisal and action plan documents within the 60 minute appointment time.

You will be responsible for maintaining high customer service levels working directly with our key clients / stakeholders on a day to day basis to maintain and increase referral rates.
