Salary: £26,000 per year
KTG Social Care are currently recruiting for a care assistant in Blackburn and surrounding areas. We currently provide emergency shift cover in care homes and are looking for candidates that are passionate about caring for individuals and able to work on their own initiative.
The shifts will be on an ad-hoc basis which will therefore be suited to those who are looking for a bit of extra work whilst studying or looking after children, and are also locally based.
Candidates are required to be able to show kindness and consideration whilst looking after residents of different backgrounds and cultures.
Some of the duties that are involved are as follows:
-Assisting with washing and dressing residents.
-General assisting of the resident with nursing care.
-Assisting the residents with their toileting needs.
-General domiciliary needs such as light household duties including changing beds.
-Serving meals and assisting those residents who are unable to feed themselves.
-Obtaining full confidentiality regarding resident?s personal data.
-Completing care plans throughout the shift.
Some of the specifications that we are looking for are as follows:
-Enthusiasm
-Good interpersonal skills i.e. communication and listening.
-Flexibility
-An outgoing personality with the ability of keeping calm under pressure, reliable and sociable.
We do require a CRB enhanced disclosure which can be purchased at the current cost of £50
