Care Assistant

Salary: £26,000 per year

Avenue are currently seeking several Care assistants for Edinburgh and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity to start or continue a career in the ever growing care sector. Open to all applicants regardless of experience.
Purpose of Role
To provide personal care and support to people who, because of illness or disability, require intensive support to remain in their own homes and reduce the likelihood of them entering into continuing care (Hospital or care Home).
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide support to private service users, helping service users to maintain independence in own homes.
Promote independence in daily tasks whilst ensuring policy and procedures are met
Support and assist service users with personal care in accordance with individual care plans
Support service users in maintaining a clean & tidy home environment (free from a health & safety-related hazards)
Complete detailed record-keeping
