CADCAM Technical Support / Product Specialist

An international leader in the design, manufacture and ongoing management of manufacturing engineering software for building, construction and engineering processes.

Job Profile

As the successful Applications Engineer / Product Specialist, you will be reporting to the Product Specialist Team Manager and working alongside a team of other skilled and experienced engineers.

Duties:

• Offer pre and post-sales support to the organisation’s global network of subsidiary’s and resellers
• Preparing and delivering formal software demonstrations and/or presentations to audiences of varying sizes
• Providing manufacturing consultancy and guidance on the most appropriate manufacturing and design methods
• Working with multiple departments to influence product development and feed-back market requirements into the organisation

Skills and Experience:

• Effective communicator, with excellent levels of written and spoken English
• Analytical thinker & natural problem solver whilst possessing an ability to explain complex technologies in a succinct manner
• To have experience of one or more of the following areas: CNC Machining, CAD Design, CAM programming, machining, tool / mould design, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, etc. – experience with manufacturing products would be preferred
• Either be degree qualified or time-served in an engineering related discipline
• Capable of managing their own time and organising multiple technical projects at once & be capable of presenting

Hours:

• 37.5hrs per week
