Our client in Yeovil is seeking a Buying Assistant to join their team on a full time permanent basis- If you have a keen interest in DIY and an understanding of a commercial environment then this is the role for you!
The main purpose of the role will be to work alongside our buying teams (UK and Asia), suppliers and distributors; quality and price is the core of what our client is looking to achieve: we are looking for someone who can negotiate and building great relationships. Additionally you will be analysing the market, price checking, researching new opportunities and communicating with suppliers.
Working hours are 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday and in return the client is offering a Salary: £26,000per year with holiday pay, free on-site parking plus a staff canteen!
We are interested in candidates who are positive, have a keen interest in DIY, an understanding of a commercial environment with excellent Excel skills (i.e. V-Look Up and Pivot tables) and knowledge of tools and/or the industries they are used in.
