Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year
We have an exciting and dynamic client in the Beauty Sector in Manchester.
They need a dynamic Buyer for a one year mat leave contract but is highly likely that the role will go permanent – they do not let talent go!
This role demand superb negotiating skills and considerable experience in the Beauty Sector – they buy in several different ways including private label and brands.
You will have 5 years plus buying experience and be degree educated and have at least 2 years Management experience. A European language would be appreciated but is not compulsory.
You will understand buying in the FMCG sector, particularly the beauty/perfume sector and on a day to day basis your role will cover the following:
Buying Plans and analysis for purchase decisions for senior management
Manage full stock purchase programmes with suppliers
Create and manage systems that allow stock control
Weekly analysis of sales and stock
Monthly forecasts by product line
Ensure margin and profit targets are met
Full charge of buying process for the team
Work with brand owners to explore new opportunities
Work with Category Managers and Sales team
Meet regularly with Sales Team to capture ongoing purchasing requirements
And you will be a natural leader as you build and develop your own team.
You will work closely with the Senior Buyer and Buying Director to devise forward strategies for the Buying Team.
